They're all good kids. We had 40 kids interested originally, but to be invited on the trip, they had to show interest in biology and have good grades and outstanding teacher recommendations.

We've been brainstorming a ton of ideas, but won't know for sure the exact details until after spring break.

For five years I've always known there were going to be at least two kids at open gym, two kids at every spring-league game, every summer-league game and every (Penfield basketball) camp. They are role models and they know it. Young kids know what our program is about now because of them.

I almost can't believe that I rejected Grant. Even a girl who wasn't in her right mind would say yes to Grant West. Forty-year old married women would say yes. Hell forty-year old married men might consider it.

Unpopularity is my thing. I revel in it.

And when we kissed in the desert, maybe it started for the wrong reasons...but it ended with the right ones.
