They've been sliding for as long as I've been alive. This sport is based on experience. I know when I get to that level, I'll be able to be in competition with them.

It's a great experience for me. I'm still young in the sport. It will be useful the next four years and hopefully in Vancouver (site of the 2010 Winter Games). It will make it easier if I'm ever in this spot again.

It definitely caught me off guard. But anything can happen.
