This board is dysfunctional, that's for sure.

He wanted to make sure the board understood that they (Gonzalez and her volunteers) do an outstanding job and are a value to the county. But the recent disasters have really drained community support at this time.

Ted wanted this vote to make sure everybody was on board. He had the support of the players on the conference call (Monday), but he thought we should have the vote so that everybody feels comfortable with him.

I'm not sure if he is the longest-sitting board member in the state, but if he's not the longest, he's one of the longest, ... Just imagine giving that level of commitment to other people's kids for 42 years. This man showed us all what it truly means to be a public servant.
