This game boiled down to us beating ourselves. They scored a pair of unearned runs and we left way to many base runners stranded. We had our chances and couldn't get the clutch hitting we needed.

You have to be able to manufacture some runs when you have opportunities like we had. Stratford is a good team and played well. We'll just have to regroup and put this one behind us.

Markesan is a good team and we played hard and just came up short. I'm very proud of the guys and the season we had.

We just battled. I think the thing that these guys realize, that as they get older, they're not going to be able to get nine points back in one possession. They realize that there's so much time left, we just chip away, we were able take the lead and able to hold them off. It was a huge team effort.

I thought we really stepped up in the fourth quarter on defense, otherwise we struggled the other three quarters. Offensively I was very pleased with what the boys did. They just seem to step up when they need to and that is something we've been doing all season. This was a good team win and I'm proud of them.

We went cold in the third and that's pretty much the bottom line. We had good looks, we just weren't able to convert.
