This group should allow students to take control and ownership of their campus and their lives, and then the faculty and staff will not have to be the enforcers of behavior. Also, students will not have to put up with the annoying after effects of people who have been drinking over the limit.

We sent a preliminary interest e-mail out to some students about this group, and we hope to get more members through word of mouth.

It's kind of like second hand smoke. There are things that people do when drunk that affect those around them, even though the people around them may not have been drinking at all.

You never control your classroom. Your students do. They always have; they always will. You cannot be coercive enough for them.
