This is a positive way for the community to work together to make our town look its very best. By having this Rid-Litter Day, we hope picking up litter will become contagious and build pride in our community.

So far, we have a great response from the businesses and churches.

We'll work on getting everyone to feel very positive about the schools and the community. That will take some time. I need to get to know people first.

It's a tragedy, and you can feel the spirit looking at the portraits. For each portrait, there's a whole community of lives that will never be the same - spouses, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and friends.

We're certainly pleased to create a positive economic impact for our wonderful community. But we're more delighted to introduce young people to the wonderful sport of cycling.

It's become much more a part of the community now. The positive comments from outsiders have helped the community embrace it even more.
