This is not parking for the pool, it is a city parking lot.

Jan. 31, 1946 was the very first meeting for the Kennett Chamber of Commerce.

In order to leverage the portion of money received from private funding with the $400,000 Community Development Block Grant, the state wanted progress that would pull the pool and park area into the downtown Revitalization process.

This is not about just removing the awnings. The main focus is repairing the sidewalks, and this comes along with that.

The parking lot on the north side of Second St. will have the same design as the one being constructed on the south side of the street.

We will continue to expand improvements when financially able and we'll continue looking for future grants.
