This is such a powerful model of community collaboration. We appreciate other people caring about the plight of these kids.

We are encouraged not only by these preliminary results, but also by the level of collaboration in the Parkinson's community. These findings represent the efforts of pharmacologists, clinicians, statisticians, and clinical trial experts — including NINDS staff — who have come together with academia, industry, patients, and foundation groups to advance the development of innovative therapies for Parkinson's. The exceptional speed of patient recruitment allowed us to finish this study in record time.

I've never seen such a caring community. Anytime we run one of these funds, the response is almost overwhelming. It's one of the things that sets this community apart.

The beginning of black studies was the idea that it would be a collaboration between the academy and the community.

The goal, as a whole for the challenge, is 3,000 units collected in collaboration with the three other universities. The challenge this year could save 9,000 lives.
