This is the first year (anyone has gone undefeated at Union County), and I've had some good ones. If he doesn't get hurt or anything, he should win (state) easily.

You're only as good as the competition you wrestle. If we wanted to, we could probably go undefeated every year in duals if we wanted to go find the weakest teams to compete against, but that's not our objective. Our objective is to go out and find the toughest competition to see what we're made of, and hopefully that improves us when we get down near the end.

That was his main focus.

He's always been fast, but he never had the proper mechanics.

We could have gone undefeated in the regular season and lost in the first or second round and felt like a failure. This year, in my mind, we're a little bit of an underdog. If we make a great run, we would be surprising some people.

We're a long ways away, and they'll be the first ones to admit it. There's a lot of good here that manifests itself throughout the season. Right now, it's spotty.
