This is the greatest thing to happen to women's hockey in Sweden and everywhere around. We knew we were getting better and better all the time. We needed to beat the U.S. or Canada to show it.

It's just one of those things that happen in hockey. But we have a nice streak going against them, and I don't know why. You don't try to explain things like this.

You can never take any hockey club lightly and we haven't thus far and we don't want to now. Sweden is a great hockey club and they can put together 60 great minutes, well we saw it today. (An upset) can happen to anyone. They've got great goaltending and some great skilled players so we have to be ready.

We tried to leave the guards out there, but unfortunately, Sweden didn't make an error in the last end.

We also knew if we didn't beat Newark, we didn't know what was going to happen.

It was shocking. You wouldn't think something like this would happen to him.
