This is the night when people dance, that's what this holiday is about. It's about dancing in the face of death.

Their lives are in bits and pieces, they're spread all over. But on the night of Halloween, we'll all come together. When this band comes down the street and they're playing their music, it's going to move energy and spirit. People are going to feel the mourning that needs to be done for New Orleans.

Senior night is great, but I want to go dancing.

Senior Night was tough at first. I was fine until they started dancing. I have been looking forward to that since I was a freshman. I wanted to see what the underclassmen would come up with. It was good.

When we began thinking about this year's parade and what had happened in New Orleans we realized we were two cities that had experienced trauma. After all the grief New Orleans had, they have not been able to stage their jazz funeral. We realized we could provide the venue.

And there was no reason for them to be dancing the Peter Lake could see, except that it was an exceptionally beautiful night.
