This program will give the neighborhood groups some autonomy and empower people to do something on their own. We think it's a neat program.

We wanted to make the applications simple enough so small neighborhood groups could apply as well as large nonprofits.

Apparently they have found some children come to school ravenously hungry on Mondays. They just chow down at breakfast and lunch. For whatever reason, the children aren't getting enough to eat on the weekends.

It's completely different from when I first got here, but we've got a different type of team now. People on this team get so focused on trying to remember what spot they're supposed to go to in triangle, the offense breaks down. With motion, we just all kind of go with the flow.

We did real well. We've got a young team ... it was a good first game. They did a lot of stuff we were working on in practice. I think we'll get better as the season goes on.

We knew this was a future-building year, and to have the success we've had is really a bonus.
