This readiness crisis didn't come out of nowhere. You and your predecessors presided over it.

We know each other, we visit each other and in times of crisis, we pull together. We cannot let the barriers of language or culture or custom come between us. We are united in the call for justice. We know that every good work is rewarded ten-fold.

The first and last story has to do with resolving the crisis in Iraq. Any forecast we do for next year has embedded in it some judgment about how things will go there.

In this time of crisis, we feel personally compelled to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and this is a small way that we can accomplish that, ... We are fortunate to be in a position to show our support of the many families and people affected by this enormous disaster.

I don't know who I am right now. But I know who I'm not. And I like that.
