This summer I'm an unrestricted free agent. I will talk it over with my agent and look at my options. I wouldn't mind going to the NHL and being a student.

There's going to be a lot of good unrestricted free-agent defensemen (available) this summer. We're in the game for those guys now. We have the opportunity to bring in some impact players.

Unrestricted free agency is not a savior. I've never seen an unrestricted free agent carry a team. But it is a tool.

Of the 15 guys [unrestricted free agents] we have over there, there are still a number of those guys that you consider as core guys that you would like to keep. Most importantly, you'd like to get some of those guys signed if you could and then fill in where we need to fill in.

I'm a free agent. I haven't allowed any promoters to have exclusive options on my fight. I don't need a promoter.

The entire NBA knew in 2010 that the best player in the world could be a free agent in 2014. We weren't the only team positioning ourselves for the summer of 2014.
