This survey indicates it is more important than ever for us to focus our efforts on informing the public about stuttering.

Each of us seems to have a main focus, a particular idea of practicality - a concept of 'what we want out of life' against which we judge our experiences.

We are happy to announce these awards to further public awareness of stuttering. Media coverage has grown in volume and sensitivity in recent years. We want to continue recognizing outstanding reporters.

Past research has shown that when you are open about your stuttering to your employer, you are far more comfortable in your workplace. If you hide your stuttering, you not only put yourself under tremendous pressure, but also limit your effectiveness on the job.
