This thing has dragged on for so long that it has developed a mythology of its own. People who started this project have retired. It was good to actually meet and understand each other's motivations.

This is a very arcane (art category). You've got to know a lot about classical mythology that the common person or the TV-watching audience isn't going to know. Now if Claude Monet had done it, you bet you'd have a crowd around it.

These are the beautiful people, who, befitting their rank as gods and goddesses of a powerful modern mythology, lead beautiful lives in beautiful houses, attired in beautiful clothes and, ostensibly, thinking only beautiful thoughts.

We've got wonderful people behind it, wonderful name recognition. We'll not try to fly before we walk, but we'll try to do a second one and maybe one or two other things to raise money.

When there's an open door, people stop by.

There are a lot of excuses people would use for failing to get involved. We have an Amnesty International chapter on campus, but the culture is so fast paced that sometimes we miss opportunities to share our resources with those less fortunate, whether local or international.
