This was a pretty evenly matched game. It could've been 4-3 us at the end. But we missed some opportunities. We didn't play our best and they did.

It's brand new for us. We're pretty excited.

We feel we match up with Oregon-Davis pretty well in terms of size. What concerns us about them, though, is they're very balanced offensively with all five starters capable of scoring in double figures.

It's great getting that first win of these playoffs. Especially so since Canon-McMillan isn't really known yet as a hockey power.

Unfortunately, their goalie made some great saves at the end. We wanted to get the puck in deep and get it on net (in the final minute), but they managed to keep us from setting it up. When we did get it set up, they kept us from getting second chances.

The puck was bouncing all over the place. It seemed all the bounces they got turned to goals while ours turned into just 2-on-1's. I don't know if it was the puck or the ice, but both teams had to deal with it.
