Those kids really stepped up. I'm proud of their effort, bringing us back even at that point. They played hard.

You might see effort, but you don't see enough to get us wins.

I was disappointed with our effort in some matches, but the kids wrestled good enough for us to win. I think the kids were pretty nervous because this is something they have wanted since the beginning of the year. I think they were a little too keyed up. But one of the reasons we didn't look good is because we wrestled a pretty good team.

We knew it would take a total team effort to turn things around, and that's what these kids gave us all season long.

Nothing was going in the first half. Valley was aggressive and out-executed us the first half. The kids got back into it and worked the boards and created turnovers. As the tempo picked up, so did our defense.

Our kids need to really concentrate on the little ones. If you have $500 here and $1,000 there, it really adds up.
