Those papers that we have received paint a picture of John Roberts as an eager and aggressive advocate of policies that are deeply tinged with the ideology of the far right wing of his party then, and now.

You can go in there with the idea that you're going to be an aggressive and effective advocate of the policies of the president of the United States, or you can go in there with the attitude that you want to be the honest broker between the news media and the White House. It's a good question as to whether this will work.

Roberts is aggressive. He sets his sight on something and he achieves it.
