Those were wonderful experiences. Obviously getting the opportunity to pitch for my country was a remarkable experience.

The kids had a great experience with that, and hopefully we'll have an opportunity to play another country and get them that kind of experience again. This is an opportunity to play one of the top five countries in the world in regards to international softball, and that's something that probably won't ever happen again in your career.

I was intrigued by the opportunity to live and experience a country less well off than ours. And see firsthand the problems that plague a developing nation.

They ignored some of the best medical expertise in the country. It's a missed opportunity to save a lot of lives.

It's remarkable, really. I think perhaps the most compelling thing about it is that it gives us the opportunity to ask and answer many evolutionary questions.

I'll probably play in the Cuba tournament if I'm not in the big leagues at the time. It would be another memorable experience.
