To be honest, when I first took the job (at Lamar Christian), I didn't think about winning. I wanted to get a different look on life.

Once my dad starts something, he never gives up. The church has been important to my mother and father. Even though my sister and I have been out of school here for years, he still gave to educational programs so that others could learn.

I think we're still a young team. We still go through spells where we don't score, and sometimes we play down to the level of the competition. So we can definitely step it up a notch.

This situation is great for me and it's great for the kids. Lamar Christian has got a great future. It will only get better as time goes on.

Last year, they were scoring about four points a game, now they're scoring 44 points. They never quit and they always bring a good attitude. That's what keeps them going.

I love to push the ball, love to run. The kids love that style.
