To score a goal early always helps, especially in a big game like this, to settle guys down.

It's a huge emotional lift for this group (to score first). In the locker room, that's what the guys always say, 'Let's get that first goal, let's jump on them early.' It takes the pressure off. You allow yourself to relax a little bit knowing you got that first one.

Our goal was to get their big guys tired so they couldn't score so much. That's about all we could do with them.
