Tom Rumph had a good day in all the jumps and Nate Culver in his 1600 and 800 were both good performances.

It has been just awesome playing with these guys. I can't really describe the bond we all have, but day-in and day-out all we wanted to do was win. It didn't matter who scored or was getting the publicity. We all just wanted what was best for the team. There was so much talent on one team that people doubted we could put it together. Well, we did, and nobody can ever take that away from us.

Our kids, their performances are getting better. It's a young team and they are starting to put together some consistent results.

Performance-wise this was an outstanding meet in many events. Eric had some really big jumps. He made 15 on his first attempt.

The big thing is that we get to honor Tom. Tom started our program here at Waverly back in the mid-to-late 1960s. It's very fitting for Tom. He would have enjoyed watching this type of meet.

I guess we don't like charity, because they gave us the ball a few times in that first half and we couldn't put it away. I'm proud, though - these kids played their guts out.
