Tonight's game was kind of a wake-up call for us. The kids know we're going to come out focused, starting [today], and get back on track.

The effort was there. I wasn't disappointed with the effort, the heart the kids had. It's hard to tell the kids we're happy with the loss (but) the kids did all they could tonight for the most part.

I thought they played very good defense on us. They hit their free throws very well, especially in the first half.

He beat some good kids. He'll be tough for us this year.

We have a lot of young kids that are going to pitch for us. We are preaching throw strikes and keeping the ball in play. We are trying to grow them into varsity pitchers fairly quickly.

She makes so many things happen for us on the floor that I can't teach. Most kids don't see the floor, especially defensively, but she has a knack to play the passing lane and has an uncanny ability to get a hand on a pass. It seems like she is always in the right place at the right time.
