Torrey Pines is making money and it subsidizes the rest of the golf system. What we're trying to do is make Balboa pay it's own way, so the system is stronger as a whole.

I'm trying to be prepared for that without spending more money than necessary. So far, I don't think we've set any kind of record.

We've spent a good bit of money trying to clean up some things to make it conducive to play there. We've worked on the dugouts, the fence had to be replaced and we reseeded the field all in an effort to get it ready to play.

We're mainly trying to figure it out (based on who plays different) golf balls. I think it's important in that foursomes match, to get two players that complement each other. Maybe not two short hitters together, but sometimes you get two long hitters and that doesn't work out, as we've seen in Ryder Cups.

I like trying to win. That's what golf is all about.
