Truthfully, we've been working behind the scenes a lot on this to get it done.

This has created tensions. They are underlying, they're not out on the surface, but they are there.

We are pleased with this decision. We asked them to talk to us when they made this change, and they wouldn't. That forced us to go through the court system. And yet again, the courts have supported our position.

The timing of this is a surprise more than the fact that the change occurred. I sensed that something was going on, but I didn't know what.

Christians can have doubts and they can have questions, and the unhealthy way to deal with that is to keep them inside where they fester and grow and can undermine our faith. The healthy way to deal with it is to talk about it and be honest about it.

Creative non-fiction is such a liberating genre because it allows the non-fiction writer, whether he or she be journalist or essayist, to use all of the techniques of the fiction writer and all of the ideas, creative approaches, that fiction writers get a chance to use, but they have to use it in a true story.
