Tuesday (Jan. 10) we shot almost 60 percent. It was just one of those nights, but you have to attribute some of that to Manchester. They were the better team tonight.

Tuesday nights are sushi nights, so we go out then.

Those are situations where you're almost guaranteed to give up one (run). In fact with second and third with no outs, we just hoped to minimize and maybe give up one, possible two runs. We just didn't want to extend the inning any further than that. To get out of both of those situations without giving up a run was a real boost for us. Offensively, I think it helped give us some momentum to build on.

We know that Jake can pitch with a broken rib. He pitched with a broken rib (Tuesday). So would it be risky for him to go out and perform well? Yeah. Is it going to do any long-term damage? Probably not.

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
