Two things reduce prejudice: education and laughter.

Education is a method whereby one acquires a higher grade of prejudices.

The expenditure formula reflects both regular and special education costs, excluding tuition and assessment costs associated with educating students out of district. It should also exclude land, buildings, capital reserve and debt service.

Knowledge—that is, education in its true sense—is our best protection against unreasoning prejudice and panic-making fear, whether engendered by special interest, illiberal minorities, or panic-stricken leaders.

I think some of the students will be ones who want to pursue professional technical education and get a two-year associate degree. Some may be students who applied to Boise State and couldn't get in. We turned away 800 last fall.

Education makes a people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern but impossible to enslave.
