We also aimed to explore whether there were shared values which, despite our differences, could unite us.

Our aim was never to try to change the views of the other side. We wanted to establish a forum for dialogue where people would be free to express their views to an audience that would listen.

A dramatic change in focus.

The whole last month has been more stressful than anything for all of us. We thought it was all behind us, but obviously it wasn't. 'Stressful' is the word I would use.

We're not explicitly targeting for any set of stock market values, ... Most of us think that we're managing the whole economy and we're trying to target inflation, unemployment. Period.

But we're still growing at a pace that feels comfortable to us, and maintains the core values and concepts.
