We also know they'll be a big help in planning and promoting the Harlem Ambassador fundraising basketball game, which so many school kids and their families will attend and enjoy.

The primary thing we're doing here is taking financial donations. That's the best way to help out.

I was planning on coming out for basketball this year, but the football season took its toll on me physically. I needed to rest and rehabilitate some injuries. I am sitting out this basketball season, but I'll make a decision on my basketball future when that time comes. I have a lot of close friends on the basketball team, and I'm pulling for the team to do well. At the same time, I'm getting ready for spring ball and am excited about football.

We are planning to set up a committee to offer resource help to those who may decide to take families into their own homes. That would be the goal of a steering committee.

I still say, to have a good basketball team, you need to have at least three guys a night in double digits, if not four. There's no question that (Shanahan is) a key to our success, but so are the other guys on the floor.
