We appreciate (the fire safety council) implementing this program. It saves us time and money just by being a part of it.

It's a lot of maintenance, but you have to do it when here because you have to protect your investment. In a residential area, you don't have to worry about it as much, but up here we border open areas.

We are following fire safety norms according to US standards, which is very stringent. Elevated sections would not have any major problem but underground sections can be evacuated in less than five minutes. Besides the Metro staff and private security staff employed are also trained to handle such hazards.

It was better for the budget at the time to go public safety. It has saved some money, but through the years I guess it wore out its usefulness. We're having fewer fires so we're needing less manpower.
