We are a very rural county. Our hands were just tied. Now citizens have a recourse.

I would rather have my fate in the hands of 23 representative citizens of the county than in the hands of a politically appointed judge.

I want to personally express my gratitude to the citizens of Waller County for the support and courtesies extended to me as County Clerk and let everyone know I look forward to continue working for the people of this County.

We feel he hasn't listened to the public and the public's opinion. As citizens, this [recall] is the only recourse we do have.

You still want to keep the county relatively rural, so that it's an attractive place to live.
