We are clearly in a state of economic uncertainty and the prudent thing to do in such times is to do nothing at all.

The mistake is thinking that there can be an antidote to the uncertainty.

The next 18 months are to be very tenuous given the financial conditions and the uncertainty in the productions schedules. The cost structures are still elevated and the prices pressures are still downward.

I can remember, even on up to the job I have now, some fair degree of uncertainty about whether I was the right person or was going to turn out to have the talents that it would take. Not just to be a manager or a CEO, but to be a good one.

In light of the uncertainty, my view would be to go slow.
