We are looking for a leader on and off the field of play. We are looking toward the 2007 World Cup and trying to find a man who can take on the challenge of leading the West Indies to a World Cup triumph at home.

This experience will be to his and the West Indies youth team's benefit for next month's Youth World Cup in Sri Lanka.

It is up to Brian if he is willing to accept it.

I believe the Cricket Committee will be conducting their discussions over the phone. But I expect, within three days, we'll have an answer to who will be the new West Indies captain.

Everybody has a different answer. You hardly ever find anybody with the same choice, so we have to be careful with what we do. We have to think this through and cover all the bases. The public might not agree, but you have to do what you feel is the right answer for the benefit of West Indies cricket.

Let's hope the bad weather does not intervene.
