We are making a financial decision we believe is in the interest of the students of this institution.

So far we have about 20 students that have expressed interest in the GWS major. We also have between 50-60 minors and some will be switching to the major.

This decision was made carefully in the interest of protecting the rescue crews.

Of those, only 55 students of the 4,000 had score differences large enough to affect an admission decision.

The NUS shares students' concerns over the decision taken by the AUT not to set exams. We believe these are valid concerns, as not setting exams will mean that restoring a normal service to students will take longer once the dispute is settled. The NUS has raised the matter formally with the AUT, and will continue to put forward our views on this issue.
