We are not moved at all by this in our community. The British government seems intent on appeasing these guys (the IRA).

The conservation community and the federal government have been working hard to add lands to the national forest in Berkeley County. There is no scenario that makes sense to sell that land.

This has given the South African public and the international community the impression that government is unwilling to be open and accountable on the issue of electricity shortages.

There's some hesitation for government officials to engage in meaningful dialogue with the community, which could be done in place of more bidders' conferences. There has to be more open dialogue, because only with that will the government get a statement of requirements that is closer to what is actually needed. If they don't get that part correct, then contract amendments have to be issued, and those cost money.
