We are pretty much the same team as last season. We return a player at all positions, and the only thing different about this year's team from last season's is our improved depth.

It's hard for a young kid to understand how to read the option. But he has gotten stronger, quicker and bigger, and I think he feels more comfortable running the football.

The kids improved a lot on getting stronger and faster. I think we are better than we were last year at this point. We took the kids to camp again this summer and really got a lot done, and it's made a big difference. They understand things, and they are quite a bit better.

It's been a pretty fun ride along the way. I came into spring training to this organization to really see if I could go out and play baseball again for another year. And I got that opportunity from the Cubs. It didn't work out. Over a period of the last two, three weeks, I've been going in and out, strength-wise, body-wise emotionally, whether I wanted to do it, could I do it.

We've always run a 5-1, but it was pretty basic. We put in a new offense over the summer, and we're adding everything. I can go all the way down the list. My players are all solid.

The girls had confidence tonight. We have a pretty good team and our girls have the ability.
