We are seeing a delay of at least a few weeks for the peak production for the entire state.

A good part of the rate increases we're seeing can be attributed to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I think it's safe to say everyone's cost has gone up.

Unlike other crops, which can be completely lost if rain hits at the wrong time of year, strawberries continue to bloom and produce throughout the warm weather. So the berries will just be a bit late this year.
