We are seeing this pine beetle do things that have never been recorded before. They are attacking younger trees, and attacking timber in altitudes they have never been before.

I've never had a bug problem before the pine beetle problem on my trees.

Then after [the fire got into the pine trees], it was on.

I'll be smiling and laughing 10 or 20 years from now, when all the pine trees are grown up. They'll be walking down the fairway like this.

They came by and red marked about 18 of my pine trees (for removal), and only one of them I can see is the least bit dangerous, and over half are not even in the right of way. But boy, they just want to take everything. I'm not very happy about that. I told them so when they called to get my permission. They put me down as refusing. I don't know what happens from there.

This week, the pine trees are very tall and when it's windy, we can see it when we hit the ball. Conditions are good. But it's more softer and better than last week. Last week was very hard greens.
