I just think it?s so important for people to know their history and to know where they came from. It helps you understand yourself better and it gives you a clearer perception of your life and your family.

History is probably one of the most emotional and difficult subjects to sort out. People care about these issues. It's their blood. But it's not always easy to tell what's factual in this arena, and when you're trying to distill world history to sixth-graders you need to be really careful.

He's really trying to reach out to this broad cross-section of people.
