We came in as the new kid on the block in the City of Champions, and the people here embraced us from the start,

This is a blue-collar city with people who work hard for their money and are really down to earth,

Kevin Beavers did a great job in the second game. He got a little tired. Beavers has been hot and cold this year, but lately cold. He came out strong and we needed the game after losing a tough one in the first game.

I'm a neighborhood-bar kind of guy, anyway. I'd just as soon have a hamburger and fries as have a steak or a fancy meal. I like to be around people I consider my friends, and I've made a lot of friends in my four years here.

I've seen a lot of new buildings go up, the new library, new developments and new businesses which will help the city over the long haul. There have been some big improvements in this city in the time I've been here, and I think those are things the city should be especially proud of.

I know I'll never win championships here like Coach Colombo did for all those years, but he told me a lot of things about what Brockton is about.
