We came into the game knowing that the bullpen was going to have do some work, so it was good to be able to do it. Cal did a great job starting. I figured that he would go three or four innings, so I was ready and when the phone rang I figured it was me.

It feels really good. I'm proud of the kids. We've had a great year already, and this is a chance to add to it.

I've kind of been more erratic than I'd like to be, but I'm all right. The more times I get out there, the better I feel. I feel like I can make some adjustments and make some better pitches.

If we have a child interested in collecting leaves or rocks or taking pictures of plants or flowers, we'd certainly like to take the time to escort them and even do a few cool experiments. We've got a great soccer field where you can see every star in the sky, if a child is interested in the planets. And I'd love to learn from the kids, if they knew something I didn't know.

Sure, I'd like to push for a bigger role. But the first thing I have to do is make the team. Everything else follows that.

I've been taken care of well, especially in the bullpen.
