We came out and I thought we were ready to play. After that 17-3 lead, we made some substitutions and our energy level completely dropped. We were gambling too much defensively, which allowed them to get some easy baskets.

That's the strength of their team - their post guys. Those guys are very, very physical. They post hard, they play hard. They do a great job of creating space and getting angles. We had that two years ago when we had Godwin. That's why we were so good. He was a load to guard down low, and he opened things up for our guards.

I was happy with our up front play both offensively and defensively. For early on, I thought we picked up on most, if not 70 to 80 percent, of our line blocking assignments so I have to be pretty pleased with that after one week.

That didn't deter me or anything from wanting this job.

Jesse was very determined, you can tell by the way he played.

I'm glad he had the game he did. If not, it would probably have been a different game as hard as (William and Mary) played. They definitely played harder than us.
