We came out flat. In the second inning, we couldn't make a play. That was our downfall right there.

Their third baseman played a hell of a defensive game. He did a nice job.

The second inning was better than his first. He had some nice pop, but when you can't get your second and third pitch over (the plate), teams are just going to sit dead red on the fastball and drive it.

After the second inning, I was as down as I've been in a long, long time, ... Emotionally frustrated. I was at a crossroads where I could continue to beat myself down or make adjustments.

I think they're only in the first or second inning of a turnaround. They've done a miraculous job, but I think there's much more to come.

That was my biggest downfall as a hitter. I'd pop up to second at least twice a game.
