We can't seem to catch a break... and that happens when you go through, what we are going through. The way we played last week to the way we played here, we probably made as big a stride in our football program even though it's a loss.

This is a much more relaxed and user-friendly version of the band. We used to be intentionally jagged and avant-garde, but now we're able to say more with less and in the process bring a wider audience into the fold. In my mind, it's a much higher and more evolved form of expression.

Playing with other people and other mediums helps bring other aspects of music out of you. You definitely have other ideas to take back to the Jacob Fred project.

Offensively, we just didn't make the plays when we had the opportunity. The defense gave us every opportunity up until the fourth quarter. We have some young kids out there at any given time on offense. They are going to get better and they will learn to make plays.

Every kid I've been around as a football player, they want their coaches to make them better as men and as players.

Every day I pull into that parking spot that says 'Head Football Coach,' I get out of my car and pinch myself sometimes, just to make sure it's real, sort of like, 'Is this really happening?'
