We can't tell victims what to do. But we can let them know that what's happening is not her imagination, that it's not her fault and that it's not right. We need them to know that other people care about them.

Domestic violence is a whole pattern of behavior. There are a whole lot of ways that it impacts the workplace, starting with absenteeism and lost productivity.

We all need to be able to say something, take that extra step and offer some hope to someone affected by domestic abuse.

But see, that's the thing about movies. Nothing is left to the imagination. You read a book, and you see a picture of the characters and the scenes in your mind. You don't have that with a movie. It's all either up there on the screen laid out for you, or it isn't there at all.
