This World Cup is not only important for football but it will help to strengthen and consolidate our democracy.

We must invest in building world class infrastructure, the skills of those who administer the game on the African continent, and invest more in the game itself and have a more comprehensive approach to the development of the youth on the African continent.

This will mean a tripling of investment in Russia and a doubling of investment in South Africa, and will continue over the next two years to gain the critical mass necessary for supplying customer needs.

I think South Africa has shown it can host such a big event as the World Cup, so why not hold the Olympics at some point in Africa? Maybe not just in one country but in a host of countries.
