We decorate a little and have a bigger meal at Christmas.

It's a good opportunity for them to get out and see people. It's a nice social hour for the them to get out and enjoy. Some of them have no other source of socializing.

Anybody is welcome to join us. It's a nice social hour for the senior citizens, and they really seem to enjoy it.

Wanda came bringing in a six-foot live Christmas tree for us and it was already decorated. That was a blessing to us. We just thank God every day for bringing us through the storm and we thank Him for everyone who has given us clothes, food, support and prayers. One day, we'll go back to New Orleans and repair our house. It's home, but living here is the next best thing.

And so, this Christmas season may our hearts with gladness glow, As we read the blessed story That took place so long ago.

Christmas is, of course, the time to be home - in heart as well as body."
