We did our job tonight. We weren't focused on scores or the other opponents and we competed aggressively.

The team is very close and (the players) are genuinely rooting for one another.

It was wonderful to see they were very calm, yet so aggressive.

Some of their bodies were hanging on there by a thread at the end.

In gymnastics, certain things can happen, and as heartbreaking as it is to not qualify, you never know. But I can honestly say in all confidence that this team is performing the best they have since they've been here.

I don't need to prove anything to opponents. Hopefully, if I go out and do my job and I'm the pitcher that I'm capable of being, I don't care if they take notice or not. They don't have to like me. They don't have to do anything. But they do have to face me and respect me.
