We do have federally listed species that use the forest, and we need to have a plan that protects those species as well as produces revenue, and that's what we've tried to do with the plan.

I do think we're an endangered species. But that we do have a plan to save the rainforest.

As the forest went, so went the bird. It's an indicator species, representative of what we did to the forests. Having it return is perhaps a sign that the forests and habitat are coming back as well.

The more we have species listed erroneously, on bad data, the less conservation and recovery resources there are to dedicate to those species truly in need.
